Why use ZimaPDF for add margin to pdf?
No Content Scaling or Distortion
Unlike some tools that shrink your content to fit within new margins, ZimaPDF only adds canvas space around the existing page. Your text, images, and layout stay exactly the same size.
Precise Unit Control
Enter margins in inches, millimeters, or PDF points. Professional print workflows often specify exact bleed sizes in millimeters — enter them directly without doing conversion math.

Frequently asked questions
Will adding margins shrink or scale down my content?
No. ZimaPDF only expands the page canvas (MediaBox) outward. Your original content remains at its exact original position and size. Nothing is scaled, cropped, or recompressed.
What units can I use to specify the margin size?
You can enter values in inches (in), millimeters (mm), or PDF points (pt). All units are converted precisely with no rounding errors.
Can I add different margin sizes to each side?
Yes. Top, bottom, left, and right margins are configured independently. For example, you can add a 25mm left margin for binding while keeping 10mm on all other sides.
What is a 'bleed' margin and do I need one?
A bleed is a small extension of the page (typically 3–5mm) beyond the final trim edge that is required by professional printers to ensure colour extends to the very edge after cutting. If your printer requires bleed, add the specified size to all four sides.
Can I apply different margins per page?
Currently margins are applied uniformly to all pages in the document. For per-page margin control, use the Page Editor tool which gives you individual page layout control.
Is there a maximum margin size I can add?
There is no hard limit. You can add as much whitespace as needed. For very large margin values, the resulting PDF will simply have a proportionally larger page canvas.
